The University of North Carolina at Asheville is a 4-year public school and the only liberal arts college in the UNC system. UNC Asheville awards undergrad degrees in over 30 academic majors and is home to The National Conference on Undergraduate Research. In addition to classroom facilities, the UNC Asheville campus includes the Lookout Observatory and STEAM Studio featuring 3D printing technology. Throughout the school year, UNC Asheville holds a number of all-campus social events from the Rockypalooza kickoff of the new school year to the Turning of the Maples autumn social.
