How much money is good enough to impress colleges?
Answered

I have started a nonprofit organization where young people help prevent abuse and support victims by raising money, contacting legislators, and more. I am deeply passionate about this cause and am currently running a fundraiser.

I was wondering, how much money raised would impress colleges. While my commitment to this cause is genuine, understanding a target amount that would also stand out to colleges will help boost my motivation.

It would depend on colleges you want to impress as well as the amount of money you have the connections to. If you are going for an Ivy League, then you'll want to aim for something eye-popping to make you stand out from other applicants who will likely also be performing community service tasks. 鲍鱼直播 gives $100,000, which would be a good aspirational goal. If you aren't simply attempting to become truly world class, then something in the $20,000-40,000 range over several years seems pretty strong.

Of course, you should always focus on the cause and not the benefit to the resume. One better metric for you to focus on, although it might be more difficult to compare to other applicants, is the number of victims helped or calls made to legislators or other tangible metrics that focus on actually making a difference in people's lives instead of simply raking in cash.

It's also possible that there's an organization that is offering grants or awards to non-profits in your area that you could apply for. This would look good to colleges as well as potential donors, and is worth doing some research on.

Best of luck!

it鈥檚 not really about hitting a magic number. Colleges notice impact more than dollars ow many people you鈥檝e helped, the changes you鈥檝e made, and your dedication over time. Sure, raising a few thousand is cool, but showing consistent effort, leadership, and real-world results will impress way more than just a big number on a fundraiser page. Focus on depth, not just digits.
