Looking for extracurricularsAnswered
Hi everyone! I'm having trouble finding things that interest me and look good on college applications. I don't have too many things I'm interested in, however, I like to play violin and help out people in my community. One thing that I would consider is starting some organization, but I'm not too sure how. I also feel captivated by the business/medical fields. Does anyone have any suggestions for extracurriculars? Thank you!

I would recommend Youth city council if your city has it. It鈥檚 a good way to get service hours in, build relationships with fellow peers who want to serve like you and if your city doesn鈥檛 have one, it would be a great thing to start
You could start a small club with friends or people you know that play instruments and play in asylums, orphanages, or maybe even ask hospitals.

Hi! I鈥檓 not sure if all schools offer this, but I鈥檓 sure there鈥檚 similar alternatives if not. I know some schools have a club called SkillsUSA, which is essentially a club where you dive deeper into the specific field you鈥檙e interested in, and if you enjoy it enough, you can compete! As someone also interested in medical fields, there鈥檚 modules for such things, as well as business options as well. It鈥檚 great team building and experimentation, and although it seems a bit out there, I promise it鈥檚 not as scary as it sounds, as the competitions are completely optional. Another thing would be your schools rendition of what is essentially a club for volunteer hours. At ours, it鈥檚 Key Club. It simply shows on your resume that you take joy in hosting events and volunteering to help others.
Maybe something like teaching other some instruments your really good at to middle or elementary school 鲍鱼直播..sounds like a fun way to get volunteering hours! And if your into the medical field, maybe hosting a little "concert" where patients gather to listen to your music!
If your school has it, Dungeons and Dragons looks surprisingly good on a college application! It promotes leadership, quick thinking, and problem solving, which is essential for both business and medical fields.
1. You can ask your orchestra conducer(if you have one) if you can start a tutoring program where high school 鲍鱼直播 can go to the middle schools or elementary
