If you are a freshman in highschool, you're fine. You likely won't need financial aid as of right now, as your (if your school does this program) program for college while in highschool will likely be already payed for (or free per Non-CCAP DE Requests or Concurrent requests, depending on where you live). If you are enrolled in a community college, you should apply for financial aid via your college's website. If you are enrolled in a University, same rule applies. Try applying for scholarships, as they will cover some of the costs. If you need further help, contact a counselor at your college.

Hiii! soon to graduate senior here. You're a freshman in hs yes? I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. But when the time comes to worry about it you should start by applying to fafsa and Cal grant and any others first as soon as you possibly can. Then focus on scholarships. Once your school of choice has given you your financial aid package thats when you start looking into loans. hope this helps :)
